Some part time ‘art teacher' with a BA in psychology came up with the idea that we should construct a self portrait with a twist for some self analytical mumbo jumbo. I saw what others made themselves up as a painter, a dominatrix, butcher, baker, candlestick maker and it disturbed me. I did not like the assignment, in fact I took it as an invasion of privacy and made it very clear this person I was offended. (You can do that in a University setting). I did not take pleasure in making this individual squirm. Still, I had to submit something, so this is what I came up with. It raised questions mainly who was the fool (court jester)...”well obviously not I” I said “ I am seated in the photo as myself... Who thought of the assignment?" I asked.
